161 ARW breaks new ground in fitness

Col. Gary D. Brewer Jr, Commander 161st Air Refueling Wing, Brandon Carr, CEO Briston Construction, Col. Kyle Kobashigawa, Mission Support Group Commander, Senior Master Sgt. Kindra Sweet, Sustainment Flight Superintendent, Lt. Col. Eric Queddeng, Civil Engineering Squadron Commander and Daniel Briscoe, COO Briston Construction break ground for the new Base Fitness Center on Nov. 14 here at Phoenix Sky Harbor Air National Guard Base. The 2,400 square foot fitness center, which is scheduled to open in approximately six months, will provide Airmen twice the square footage of the existing facility, add daylighting features, industrial architecture finishes, 20 foot vaulted ceilings and reverse osmosis drinking water.
