PHOENIX -- The 2015 Combined Federal Campaign is in full swing and will remain open for contributions until Dec. 15. This year's theme is, "You can change a life."

The CFC is the world's largest and most successful workplace giving campaign. Since its creation in 1961 it has raised over $7 billion for charities designated by Federal employees. Last year, 161st Air Refueling Wing members donated $7,721. In 2011, the wing's peak donation year, $14,662 was donated. Donations start at just $10.

Contributors may qualify for up to $800 in Arizona state tax credits this year - $400 charity and $400 for foster care donations. For qualifying CFC approved charities, members do not have to itemize as of 2013, and the credit is up to $400 married filing joint, or $200 single filers, which means give it and get it back when filing Arizona state tax credits. This is in addition to any school tax credits already submitted. Tax form 321 will be the one to fill out when it becomes available for 2015. Please consult your tax advisor or CPA.
