161st Airmen qualify on new course

Members of the 161st Security Forces Squadron participate in weapons qualification Dec. 5, 2011, at the National Guard training range in Florence, Ariz. Beginning Dec. 1, 2011, all Airmen are required to qualify in a new rifle course which is designed to train personnel on safety, operator maintenance, weapon operation and handling skills, basic marksmanship fundamentals, tactical movement, use of cover, threat engagement techniques, threat discrimination and night threat engagement.
