Copper 5, an aircrew never forgotten
Col. Edwin Slocum, vice wing commander of the 161st Air Refueling Wing, accepts the identification tag of Tech. Sgt. Donald J. Plough donated to the wing during 35th Annual Copper 5 Memorial at the Goldwater Air National Guard Base, Mar. 13. Plough was the boom operator and crew member aboard Copper 5, Boeing KC-135A Stratotanker aerial refueling jet from the 161st that was involved in a mid-air collision with a civilian plane, killing the four person aircrew on Mar. 13, 1982.
