Phoenix Air Guard medical professionals train with Navy
Twenty Airmen assigned to the Arizona Air National Guard's 161st Medical Group recently performed their Annual Training at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego, from August 21 to September 3. The Guard members delivered much-needed manpower assistance as the USNS Mercy Hospital ship was out to sea with over three hundred of the Naval Medical Center's staff. Manpower support included administration, nursing services, public health, bioenvironmental, emergency room support and general medical backing. Naval counterparts were very pleased with the medical group's support and hopeful that this will lead to an ongoing training partnership.
